Mastering the Fundamentals – SSI Pro Prep
Crossed over from another agency, or someone who wants to polish their skills in preparation for an Assistant Instructor and/or Instructor Training Course.
Being prepared for those courses will ensure you get the most out of them, so being familiar with everything in the SSI system up to and including the Divemaster course is a must.
If you have come from another agency, then it is worth spending time with our Instructor Trainer and Dive Professional team to go through all of the skills you should have a good quality understanding of from the Open Water Course, Perfect Buoyancy, and Stress & Rescue course.
WHO IS THIS SSI PRO PREP COURSE FOR?
This course is designed for divers who want to refine their skills and prepare for professional-level training. It’s perfect for:
Divers crossing over from another agency – If you're new to the SSI system, this course will help you get familiar with everything up to and including the Divemaster level (you will need to purchase the SSI Divemaster Materials in addition - 93700580 & 471098 if you do not already have - we can sort this for you)
Divemasters preparing for Assistant Instructor or Instructor Training – Sharpen your skills to ensure you get the most out of your pro-level courses.
Divers who want to polish their skills – If you’re aiming for high-quality demonstration-level skills, this course will help you refine them.
Those returning to professional training after time away – Refresh your confined water skills and build confidence before moving forward.
Anyone who wants to master Open Water, Perfect Buoyancy, and Stress & Rescue skills – A structured way to ensure you have top-quality skills before stepping into professional training.
WHAT DOES THE SSI PRO PREP COURSE CONSIST OF?
CLASSROOM
Spend ½ a day in the classroom (or remote time) with our Instructor Trainer (Tracey) to walk through the SSI ecosystem.
CONFINED WATER SKILLS - OPEN WATER SKILLS
Spend three two-hour pool sessions with dry time prior to those sessions with our Dive Professional team and onsite Instructor Trainer running through the SSI Skills to polish them in preparation for the next step in your professional training.
Session 1: Dry and pool session with our Instructor Trainer, who will demonstrate the skills to you.
Session 2: Pool session where you will work with a Dive Rutland professional to practice the skills from the previous session.
Session 3: Final session reviewing all skills, with formal scoring and feedback provided throughout.
CONFINED WATER SKILLS - STRESS AND RESCUE SKILLS
Spend one two-hour pool sessions with dry time prior to this session with our Dive Professional team and onsite Instructor Trainer running through the SSI Stress and Rescue skills
